Insulated Concrete Forms

Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) are lightweight foam forms that interlock to erect the exterior walls of a structure. Concrete is placed into the forms in the same manner as traditional concrete walls. The forms remain intact to provide insulation for the structure. Depending on the size of the unit and exterior finish of the structure, an R-value of 50 can be reached. ICF are used in both residential and commercial construction. This includes above grade exterior walls of single-family homes and office buildings. The major benefits of ICF construction are:
